About the Department
The Ecotourism and Biodiversity Conservation department at Mattu University was established in 2016, with a mission to train future leaders in the fields of sustainable tourism and biodiversity conservation.
Equipping Graduates for Success:
The department's first cohort of students, 47 strong, will graduate in 2018, ready to tackle the challenges of responsible tourism development and biodiversity protection. The program equips graduates with the knowledge, skills, and creativity needed to:
Design and manage ecotourism projects that minimize environmental impact and maximize benefits for local communities.
Conduct research and develop solutions to address pressing issues in ecotourism and conservation.
Foster appreciation for biodiversity and inspire others to become stewards of the natural world.
